The second longest-serving manager in the history of the Premier League, Wenger is out of contract at the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger insists the curtain will not come down on his managerial career even if he announces his departure from Arsenal in the next two months.

Wenger has also been harshly criticised by Arsenal fans at the Emirates, with several banners starting to pop up asking the manager to resign.

Pundit and former Arsenal star Ian Wright predicted that Wenger would last the season but not beyond: "I just get the impression in him and looking at him that's it".

Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger, has disclosed that he will still be a manager next season, whether it is at Arsenal "or somewhere else".

As the redoubtable Miles from Sport Options tours - who organises trips for Arsenal fans to every European game the club plays - told Gooners as they disembarked at Munich airport: "We've turned up again - let's hope the team does too". He says he will still be managing next season so I am assuming that to mean he will still be at Arsenal.

Nevertheless, a growing section of supporters have been calling for Wenger to go, and based on the latest noises coming out of Arsenal in these reports, it appears as though he could finally be ready to step away after 20 years at the helm.

"All the rest of it is judgement and I am in a public job and I have to accept that".

But speaking in Friday's press conference ahead of Monday's fifth round FA Cup tie against Sutton, Wenger admitted that the players were frustrated with the result but rubbished talk of unrest. In the process, Arsenal has become the first English team to concede 200 goals in the Champions League. I want to do well for this club and I feel a big responsibility.

It is mad, especially for non-league sides. "He's got a good manner about him and he's good around the group", he said. Robbie Brady struck a marvellous free-kick on his full Burnley debut as they held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw.

"At the moment we have to look at our next game".

"It's always a problem because you think he can deliver something special".

"I am used to it", Wenger said of the media pressure on his job.

Arsenal's French midfielder Francis Coquelin (L) and Bayern Munich's Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal vie for the ball during the UEFA Champions League round of sixteen football match between FC Bayern Munich and Arsenal in Munich, southern Germany, on February 15, 2017. The Bayern Munich result was hard to take but I have the strength and experience to handle it. You have to accept that because you always want to go to the next level.
