AFTER weeks of teasing, Huawei took the wraps off its new P10 smartphones at MWC 2017. Moreover, Huawei's new phones also come with a Leica-powered "portraiture" mode that does something very similar to what the "portrait" mode does in Apple's iPhone 7 Plus.

While we haven't seen almost as many leaks about the P10 and P10 plus as say the LG G6 or Samsung Galaxy S8, we have seen a few floating around the internet. The difference, however, is that while the P10 features f/2.2 aperture, the P10 Plus sports a wider f/1.8. One of the notable additions is 4.5G LTE support featuring 4 antennas and is claimed to deliver 2X faster download speeds. It will have a 5.5-inch QHD panel with 2.5D curved glass and measures 153.5mm x 74.2mm x 6.98mm with a weight 165grams. Now the P10 presents improved software, processing power, and Leica cameras. The former carries a 3,200mAh battery while the latter comes with a bigger 3,750mAh battery. The 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage variants. And just as interesting are the rear cameras-the P10 and P10+ each boast dual cameras provided by the German optics company. There is a laser sensor along with the dual camera lens for easier macro photography. The company is also offering Leica style portraiture mode for capturing professional looking photos. Furthermore, the P10 and P10 Plus are water-resistant as well. The further report also gives an insight into the prices of the Smartphones, as it states that the P10 is priced at €649, while the P10 Plus is priced at €699 for the 64 GB variant, while the 128 GB variant is priced at €799.
