LOS ANGELES The California man accused of buying assault rifles used by the married couple who massacred 14 people at a San Bernardino office party in December 2015 pleaded guilty on Thursday of conspiring with one of the killers in previous plots.
Marquez, who admitted purchasing weapons years earlier for Farook, was the only person formally charged in connection with the shootings.
According to the Riverside County District Attorney's Office, Enrique Marquez Jr., 25, entered into a plea agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office on Tuesday, admitting to one count each of providing material support to terrorists and making false statements in the acquisition of firearms.
Marquez is facing a statutory maximum sentence of 25 years in federal prison when he is sentenced August 21st.
