Ex-Power Ranger sentenced to 6 years for fatal stabbing


A former "Power Rangers" faces six years of wearing prison orange Thursday for his roommate's stabbing death two years ago.

38, was sentenced to six years in state prison stemming from his guilty plea earlier this month to one felony count of voluntary manslaughter for the murder of Joshua Sutter, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

During the sentencing at Superior Court in Lancaster, California, Mr Sutter's father asked Judge Daviann Mitchell to show no leniency towards Medina.

Medina played the Red Lion Wild Force Ranger on the popular "Power Rangers Wild Force" children's television series.

Medina was charged with first-degree murder in 2016, one year after the fatal clash with Sutter. As it is, Medina could be out in just under three-years on parole, law enforcement officials tell Deadline.
