"Despite pointing this out to Katie Hopkins within minutes of her first tweet wrongly accusing Jack", Lewis continued, "Hopkins did not apologise".

Monroe sued Hopkins after she posted a tweet suggesting that the food blogger had taken part in or condoned the defacement of a war memorial.

Lawyers for Jack said that the tweets led to death threats directed at the mum-of-one, and argued that the tweets were defamatory and that they caused "serious harm" to Monroe's reputation.

Hopkins was ordered by the High Court to pay £24,000 in damages to Monre after a 21-month legal battle.

"I sued her for libel".

It's Over: Cowboys Will Release Tony Romo Later Today
Romo took over as the Cowboys' starter for former Washington State Cougar Drew Bledsoe midway through the 2006 season. Though Romo will be 37 years old next fall, he's just two years removed from his finest season in the NFL.

The case arose after a memorial to the women of the Second World War in Whitehall was daubed with the words "F*** Tory scum" during an anti-austerity demonstration. "Vandalised the memory of those who fought for your freedom [?] Grandma got any more medals?', Katie wrote - then deleting the tweet and calling Jack 'social anthrax".

But Justice Warby ruled that the comments had caused Monroe "real and substantial distress" and she that she was entitled to "fair and reasonable compensation".

Hey lawyer, William Bennett told the judge: "The claimant's primary case is that by reason of the seriousness of the allegations and the scale of publication, serious harm to reputation has been caused".

In May 2015, Daily Mail columnist Hopkins tweeted at Monroe: "Scrawled on any memorials recently?"

Hopkins deleted her libelous tweet, but did not apologize despite having no proof for any of the allegations.

Police detained and arrested the naked brothers, who claimed they were high on psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana. Two men who were reportedly running around a parking lot naked and high on mushrooms were arrested on Sunday.

She was ordered by Mr Justice Warby at a hearing in London to pay £107,000 on account of costs within 28 days, with the full figure yet to be assessed.

He added: "Jack Monroe never did, and coming from a proud military family, never would".

Monroe tweeted in response: "I have NEVER "scrawled on a memorial".

Monroe later asked Hopkins to apologize and said they wouldn't sue the columnist if the apology was public and she donated £5,000 to a charity rescuing migrants.

The Twitter libel case - dubbed "Twibel" by media pundits - will be significant to future defamation cases sparked by social media activity. "People now need to be careful with their tweets - don't tweet now and repent at leisure".

Potential Jets Draft Target Sidney Jones Reportedly Injured at Washington Pro Day
The injury itself looks to be really bad, with reports surfacing that Jones had to be carted off the practice field. Washington cornerback Sidney Jones is widely viewed as one of the top three prospects at his position.
