Aurangabad-Hyderabad passenger train derails in Karnataka, no injuries reported


Aurangabad-Hyderabad passenger train derailed between Kalgupur and Bhalki stations in Karnataka this morning. "The injured person has been admitted to a hospital", police said. Nanded division SCR official said the S1, S2 and S3 coaches and SLR (luggage coach) derailed, leaving many commuters stranded at railway stations across the division. Passengers are being evacuated with the help of locals who have thronged the accident site.

Restoration measures have been taken up on a war-footing. The passengers have safely reached Hyderabad. Bidar-Hyderabad intercity express was rescheduled to accommodate the passengers of derailed train, an official of South Central Railway (SCR) said.
