Joss Whedon Shares His Thoughts on Casting 'Batgirl'

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel CEO Kevin Feige says that Joss Whedon - former Avengers director and recently announced writer/director of a brand-new Batgirl movie for Warner Bros. - called him prior to taking the gig, presumably to get his blessing.

While it's disappointing to so quickly have our high hopes for the rumor of Lindsey Morgan dashed, it's also reassuring that Whedon is so focused on the characterization of the film's Batgirl.
