Anyway, Microsoft started off with plans to release two feature updates every year for Windows 10 when it was initially released and this calendar year was going to be the first time it would happen since Windows 10 became publicly available.
Microsoft flagged its new policy early previous year, telling the users that Windows 10 will be the only supported Windows platform on Intel's upcoming 7th Gen Intel Core (Kaby Lake) based CPUs. The move is supposed to make it easier for the company's business customers to know when updates will be released and for how long each version of Windows 10 will be supported. It says it will support each version of Windows for 18 months. 'Windows is committing to a predictable twice-per-year feature release schedule, targeting September and March of each year, aligning with Office 365 ProPlus, ' explained Microsoft's Bernando Caldas in the brief announcement. It is not clear what Microsoft plans to introduce with the new update, which will roll out in September. Windows 10 Redstone 3 is the next major update for the Windows 10. While many companies are working on improving the battery life of their products, it looks like Microsoft is also taking another angle to solving this biggest pain point. The updates will also just have a few notable features to help users distinguish them from other new releases.
The updates will take place in March and September of each year, and each will be supported by Microsoft for 18 months. This is consistent with our current Windows 10 approach, but adds further clarity and predictability to organizations by aligning with Office 365 ProPlus.Читайте также: Bill O'Reilly could get up to $25 million in severance
In terms of application compatibility, Microsoft has announced four new investments: Upgrade assessment tools, application compatibility testing, Office 365 ProPlus monitoring services and reporting, tracking and resolving issues. Though the company has stopped rolling out updates, there is a user-made patch that is available for both chip types and allows users to continue running older operating systems on newer processors.
"We leveraged modern silicon capabilities to run background work in a power-efficient manner, thereby enhancing battery life significantly while still giving users access to powerful multitasking capabilities of Windows", Karagounis wrote.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
