Nintendo Switch Sells Over 900000 Units in March

Another report from research company The NPD Group shows that Nintendo Switch had been sold 906,000 console units in May, higher than PS4 and Xbox One.

The new Nintendo Switch game console is displayed at a pop-up Nintendo venue in Madison Square Park, March 3, 2017 in New York City. But it's still too early to tell whether the Switch will be a blockbuster on the scale of the original Wii, which sold more than 100 million units.

Poland hoping for 'development of relations' between EU, Turkey after referendum
Erdogan lashed back at the worldwide monitors' initial findings, telling them to "know their place", Reuters reported . That drew a harsh rebuke from Erdogan and criticism from Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.

Even more impressive was the big launch of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

This has created the odd situation where there have been more copies of that game sold than there are consoles to play it on.

Nintendo Switch, the new home gaming system that people can also take on the go, has sold faster in its launch month than any other video game system in Nintendo history. Roughly 460,000 copies of the Wii U version of the game were sold in March, and the Switch version sold an estimated 925,000 units.

Guns, gold and gas. What UN sanctions target North Korea?
VP said that the era of United States "strategic patience" in dealing with the North was over, after more than two decades. North Korea recently unveiled footage of a simulated nuclear strike on a USA city to celebrate a major national holiday.

Both the Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild broke internal sales records during their release month this past March. Breath of the Wild sold half that number (albeit in two consoles) in a fraction of the time. Granted there is a difference between shipped and sold, but hopefully Nintendo will add some clarity to the issue when it holds its quarterly financial meeting later this month.

Breath of the Wild's reported sales success doesn't come completely out of the blue.

I'm so glad Nintendo chose to take a risk and truly shake up the Zelda formula for what simultaneously feels like a return to the freedom and exploration of the first game in the series-not entirely coincidentally-and something very new, and I bet they're pretty happy with the decision, too. No real details were provided on whether or not the Switch version will differ in any way or provide local multiplayer support with multiple Switch units - but you'd hope that was on the cards.

Theresa May criticised for ruling out live TV debates
If May isn't willing to take on this challenge, perhaps she should consider applying for a different job. Scottish National Party Leader Nicola Sturgeon said broadcasters should hold the debate without May.
