Public Memorial Service Held For Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds

Actress Ruta Lee delivered a touching eulogy about Reynolds and her philanthropy.

Dancers from Debbie Reynold's dance studio performed a tribute to Singin' In The Rain - the film that catapulted Reynolds to fame aged just 19.

Three months after their back-to-back deaths, mother-and-daughter actresses Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher were honored Saturday at a poignant public ceremony in Los Angeles.

"Here's a chance where we can all get together like family and have an event like family", Todd said.

At the end of the montage, a working R2D2 unit came on stage and mournfully beeped at a picture of Fisher and at an empty director's chair with Fisher's name on it. Everyone's favorite space robot "wept" until Todd Fisher knelt down to comfort him.
