Strengths of 2017 NFL Draft matches Bills' many needs

For those bold enough to presume the Browns might not take Myles Garrett with the top overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft: You can stop being bold and you may cease to presume.

The Cleveland Browns took the draft by storm past year by swapping the second-overall pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for a bushel of future selections. Despite a disdain for playing into rumor season, Executive Vice President of Football Operations Sashi Brown chose to debunk it when he said "Yes, that would be false, but I am not going to comment on every rumor that is out there".

Cleveland's star cornerback said Tuesday he'd be "super excited" if the Browns chose Texas A&M's Myles Garrett next week with the top pick in the National Football League draft.

Brown described Garrett as "bright, competitive. we'd be proud to have him".

Marcus Smart Responds To Jimmy Butler: 'It Ain't Hard To Find Me'
With Rondo's absence extended another game , tonight's game between the Bulls and Celtics becomes a little less competitive. Those two players spearheaded a 20-4 run in the fourth quarter that broke the game open.

There's also been talk that the Brows could draft Garrett first and then try to move up from their second first-round pick, No. 12 overall, and grab Trubisky in the Top 10. Asked if the team will trade for a veteran quarterback on draft weekend, he didn't mince words.

The Saints can afford to make this deal because, despite having a ton of holes, they have a second first-rounder (No. 32) as a result of the Brandin Cooks trade.

Could the Browns make a draft trade to get UNC QB Mitch Trubisky?

- 2015 Defensive tackle Malcom Brown (No. 32 overall) played in all 19 games, making 16 starts, including all three postseason games. Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan has already made it clear he'd like to add more value, and with no clear, best-case scenario at No. 6, the team looks like it wouldn't hesitate to move down if another team wants to come up. The losing - and criticism about his play - took a toll.

Trump tax plan could be good news for many, bad for deficit
Trump proposed cutting the US corporate tax rate, the highest among the world's industrialized nations, from 35 to 15 percent. Mnuchin assured that the proposal was not meant to aid the wealthy, even though it lowers rates for top earnings.

If the Browns were to pass on Trubisky at No. 1 and someone else took him, they would have other options at No. 12, such as Deshaun Watson or Patrick Mahomes. This is after team vice president Sashi Brown shut down the idea of them trading for a quarterback this offseason. "Every prospect is going to have his weaknesses".

For almost 30 minutes, Sashi Brown kept Cleveland's draft plans close to the vest, deflecting some questions, dodging others.

The Cleveland Browns do the most perplexing things. It doesn't do a team any good to call about trading up to No. 1 to tell Brown which position it's targeting.

"It doesn't matter when you got drafted or who you are, he's going to be in your face no matter what", Haden said.

Liverpool's new kit to mark 125th anniversary
With an injury ravaged squad, Craig Burley debates if Liverpool can challenge for a title next season without more transfers. Stevie Nicol wavers on Liverpool's top four aspirations but thinks Man United's poor play could see them there by default.

Even without a first-round pick, the New England Patriots stock up on talented defenders with their four Day 2 picks: LSU cornerback Tre'Davious White, Ohio edge defender Tarell Basham, Ohio State linebacker Raekwon McMillan and Florida cornerback Teez Tabor. After you get past Garrett, Allen, and Solomon Thomas, there isn't a lot.
