United Airlines Passenger Launches Legal Action Over Forceful Removal

By Wednesday, his tone had taken a contrite turn. But on Wednesday, Munoz walked back such language, saying he did not blame Dao for what happened.

Citing the risk of "serious prejudice" to their client, the lawyers want the airline and the City of Chicago, which runs O'Hare International Airport, to preserve surveillance videos, cockpit voice recordings, passenger and crew lists and other materials related to United Flight 3411.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Dao wasn't the only customer threatened with forcible action on a United flight. Pledging that no passenger will ever again be forcibly removed from a United flight, Munoz has dismissed calls for his resignation. Chris Christie on Wednesday upped his attacks on United Airlines after a passenger was dragged off a plane, calling the airline "awful" and pressing President Donald Trump's administration to put an end to the practice of "bumping" passengers. Qatar Airways also threw a jab at United with its tweet which said, "We're united in our goal to always accommodate our passengers, even with our app updates".

USA, Canada, Mexico Submit Joint Bid to Host 2026 FIFA World Cup
The last time the USA held the quadrennial worldwide football tournament was in 1994, with Mexico hosting twice, in 1970 and 1986. By the time 2026 rolls around, it will have been 32 years (and seven tournaments) since the World Cup was held in North America.

"If you are not willing to voluntarily de-plane, then we will call security and have you physically escorted off the plane", Fearns recalled being told.

"Like you, I continue to be disturbed by what happened on this flight and I deeply apologize to the customer forcibly removed and to all the customers aboard".

Dao also tells officers he'd rather go to jail than willingly leave the plane. "You saw us at a bad moment". These complex software packages, generally outsourced from either Hewlett Packard Enterprise or IBM, combine all major passenger service functions, including pricing, shopping, reservations, ticketing, check-in and seat assignment, said Brett Snyder, founder of the airline industry blog Crankyflier.com. When Dao refused to leave his seat, one of the officers could be seen grabbing the screaming man from his window seat and dragging him down the aisle by his arms.

Gallup poll: For first time, majority approve of Obamacare
The failure last month to dismantle Obamacare, also known as the Affordable Care Act, was Trump's first major legislative setback. Gallup's Jim Norman noted it would be a significant development if a majority of Americans continue to approve of Obamacare.

"The family of Dr. Dao wants the world to know that they are very appreciative of the outpouring of prayers, concern and support they have received", Golan said.

Three people got off the flight, but the fourth said he was a doctor and needed to get home to treat patients on Monday.

"We can not stress enough that we remain steadfast in our commitment to make this right", the company said.

Protesters across United States call for Trump's tax returns
The protest in Bangor took place on the April 15 deadline to file tax returns and pay any outstanding taxes. In Washington , D.C., one of Trump's sharpest critics in the House spoke to protesters at the U.S.

The letter follows an incident Sunday in which United requested that four volunteers disembark from a full plane on the tarmac in Chicago to make room for company employees.
