Asus ROG Zephyrus GX501 is the first Nvidia Max-Q laptop design

Jonney Shih, Asus chairman, announced a competition on Tuesday, May 30, at the unveiling of the Republic Of Gamers (ROG) Zephyrus computer, the company's latest gaming PC, at the ATT 4 Fun Mall, about 35 minutes from TWTC, the venue of Computex 2017.

Notably, there will be two variants of the Asus ROG Zephyrus. Buyers can now have the best of both worlds for a price, but the Zephyrus looks to be a great starting point for what Nvidia can initially do with Max-Q, and how OEMs will incorporate their own cooling technologies into the final product designs. At the ROG Computex event, Asus also unveiled a colourful Strix Fusion headset and a slick USB monitor called ZenScreen as well. This trend is catching on quite fast - something that the Razer Blade Pro also comes with and was carried forward towards Acer's Predator gaming rig as well. "Airflow improvements reduce the laptop's component and surface temperatures compared to competing designs, and the cooling is powerful enough to keep the CPU and GPU from throttling even when both are loaded".

We're a bit anxious this opening may be a point of weakness for the Zephyrus, and we look forward to taking a closer look when we fully review this machine.

According to Asus, the 15-inch ROG Zephyrus will deliver next generation gaming. This leaves a lot of empty space above the keyboard, but at least it doesn't feel too uncomfortable.

Leaked information 'undermines' Manchester attack probe
The pictures appeared in the New York Times and followed an earlier leak to United States media of the attacker's name. A woman arrested Wednesday during a raid on an apartment north of Manchester has been released without charge.

The keys are backlit with Asus's Aura RGB lighting system, which can be tweaked using the software that comes pre-installed.

Compared with the Asus machine in question, it has a similar layout where the keyboard is positioned in the front, and it has a see-through trackpad that's covered with Gorilla Glass below the screen. The laptop's 1920 x 1080 display runs at 120 Hz to avoid motion blur and promises to reproduce 72 percent of the NTSC color gamut. It's a 1080p panel with high color accuracy-Asus says it covers the full sRGB color gamut. It includes one USB Type-C/Thunderbolt 3 port, along with four USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps) Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack for additional connectivity. The laptop offers 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD storage options.

After three quarters: Cavaliers 109, Celtics 74
The two rivals have split the previous two encounters. "There seems to be a theme when I'm out, I think the team is like 108-2". James drove to the basket uncontested with 6:38 left in the third to put the Cavaliers up, 90-65, sending fans to the exits.

But what was teased is real and the Zephyrus (the greek god of the west wind) may be a handful to pronounce, but it's certainly worth the wait. There is also the fact that unlike most premium gaming laptops, the ROG Zephyrus looks rather professional and stealthy, not being loud with over-the-top insignias or artwork on the chassis - something that many will be able to appreciate.
