Manhunt for Crookston homicide suspect follows officer-involved shooting in Bloomington

Bloomington Police say they spotted Frazier, in a parked vehicle around 9 PM Wednesday, once the officer approach the auto, shots were fired.

Crookston Police officers discovered Tawnja Rene Wallace, 48, deceased in her home around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting of 49 year-old Eddie Frazier. Authorities in Polk County issued an arrest warrant on charges of second degree murder, and alerted law enforcement agencies around the state to be on the lookout for Frazier. He previously had a no contact order with Wallace after a domestic assault in 2016, according to a criminal complaint.

It's unclear if Frazier or officers were injured in the incident. After driving a way in a vehicle he later abandoned, Frazier was found by police around 3 a.m. Thursday. "The source said "'Mark Frazier" had told someone he had "killed the (expletive) and left her for dead in the tub'".

Detectives also spoke on the phone with Wallace's sister, who told them she'd spoken to Frazier and he told her that he and Wallace had been drinking and using the drugs when they got in a heated arguement.
