McCullum out of remainder of IPL with hamstring strain

Brendon McCullum's Indian Premier League season has ended three games early because of a hamstring injury.

The Gujarat Lions have had a dismal season in the IPL so far after topping the league phase standings previous year.

The Rajkot-based outfit has been cruelled with injury this seasons, losing Dwayne Bravo and Andrew Tye, while aggressive opener Jason Roy has returned home to fulfil his national duties with England. This leaves Gujarat with just four overseas players- Aaron Finch, Dwayne Smith, James Faulkner and UAE's Chirag Suri. The 35-year-old has scored 330 runs in 11 games with two half-centuries at a strike rate of 145.50.
