-Israeli relations in the past are beginning to return.

The delay has frustrated right-wing politicians in Israel who fear Trump may back down on other promises.

In February, Netanyahu asked Trump to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

President Donald Trump's thirst for what he has called "the ultimate deal" has some Israeli officials anxious about how much he might give away if he can restart long-stalled peace talks with Palestinians.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley raised eyebrows this week when she declared that the Western Wall in Jerusalem is part of Israel and renewed the call made by Donald Trump during his presidential campaign past year that the United States should move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. "Once President Trump understands our determination and unequivocally takes a stand in favor of the move, his administration and all the other countries will follow".

To get there, the president's convoy will have to pass through Israel's high-security checkpoint and towering concrete barriers that cut the West Bank off from Jerusalem.

Pacific ministers commit to move ahead with pact without US
A statement from the Vietnamese chairman of the talks gave a "commitment to promote trade and investment liberalization". The U.S. withdrawal means the deal would be dead under the current rules given the scale of the country's economy.

The Netanyahu government is also playing down a diplomatic tiff over whether and how Trump would visit religious sites.

When briefing reporters on Trump's visit to Jerusalem next week, McMaster made no mention of whether Trump would make use of the visit to announce the relocation of the US Embassy from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv. "It could still change".

The statement came just one day after hundreds of Palestinians flocked to the border between Israel and Gaza to participate in a demonstration that quickly escalated when multiple participants started igniting tires and hurling rocks at IDF soldiers deployed in the area.

Trump remains committed to an embassy move and could reaffirm that without specifying a timeframe, one official said.

"There is a question mark about his stance concerning the Arab-Israeli conflict and I think that's the most interesting question for Israelis", he says, speaking to Newsweek by phone.

"Fifty years ago, we didn't occupy, we liberated; by the heroism of our warriors and the love of our people, Jerusalem was liberated", said Netanyahu.

Introducing Trump, Saudi King Salman described Tehran as a mutual foe and a source of terrorism they must confront together. Iran has lots of sins to account for - including its cynical support for the bloody regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

Former Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni and senior Palestinian official Saeb Erekat attend the World Economic Forum held in the Dead Sea resort of Shuneh, west of the Jordanian capital Amman, on May 20, 2017. Nevertheless, the Palestinian Authority claims the Temple Mount, where the Western Wall is located, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the nascent Palestinian state.

US presidential trips are an opportunity to project power and burnish statesmanship.

"Furthermore, who would have never imagined that the first direct flight between Israel and Saudi Arabia would happen because of President Trump".

Opposition leader Isaac Herzog said disappointment with Trump is largely limited to members of Israel's "deep-right wing that were sure that President Trump would be working for them". But the USA has withheld recognition of that control until there is a deal. A pair of veteran Israeli and Palestinian negotiators, who endured repeated failures, expressed rare optimism about President Donald Trump's efforts to strike a Mideast peace deal.

Donald Trump began his maiden global trip as US president Friday, leaving the White House awash in a slew of controversies that has some politicians invoking comparisons to the Watergate scandal that brought down the presidency of Richard Nixon. "This is the way to prosperity, peace and stability in the region", he said.

Trump is expected to arrive in Israel on Monday for a two-day visit during which he will meet with Israeli officials. "That is why there is a lot of anticipation of his visit". Any accommodation of the Palestinians - including even holding talks - is likely to cause headaches for Netanyahu with the right flank of his coalition. At the time, the hotel housed the British administrative headquarters for Palestine.
