Xbox Game Pass Service Release Date Finally Revealed

It'll cost £7.99 a month, and will launch with a catalogue of "over 100" Xbox One games, including Halo 5: Guardians, Lego Batman, Payday 2, and National Basketball Association 2K16.

For those unfamiliar with how this works, during every month Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games - two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360.

SpeedRunners (Xbox One) and Phantom Dust DLC will run the whole month from June 1-30. Microsoft will expand the game library and while the number of games will vary, we can expect titles to be added each month.

Does Xbox Game Pass sound like something you'd use?

Xbox Game Pass has been officially launched and detailed by Microsoft. To gain access to Xbox Live Gold requires a subscription cost of either $10 a month, $25 for 3 months, or $60 for 12 months.

The site believes that giving the Xbox Games with Gold subscribers the chance to play it for free is one way of promoting the latest installment in the franchise, "Sniper Elite 4", released back in February. It's a bit like Netflix, then, although you'll download the games before playing. There is no need to worry about streaming or connectivity problems. This program begins today - and while not all the games that'll be available eventually are available today, a bunch have already arrived.
