Amazon Introduces New 'Dash Wand' Kitchen Assistant With Alexa


Forget clicking around Amazon's AMZN, -1.33% website to stock up on necessities - the company's new tool, the Dash Wand, lets you say what you want or scan the item to be automatically placed in your cart.

The $20 Dash Wand is essentially free as you get a $20 Amazon credit when you register the device. However, it's not a new Echo device, we already have enough of those already. Now, the company has launched another variant of the Dash Wand, this time with the added support for Alexa.

While the AI voice assistant will collect your orders, which you'll need to manually confirm and checkout via the Amazon app but it also performs some notable smart speaker functions as well. Additionally, for a limited time, Prime members in AmazonFresh locations get to try AmazonFresh free for 90 days (normally $14.99 per month) when you register Dash Wand.
