USA pop singer Ariana, 23, was moved to tears and told the crowd: "Manchester, I love you with all my heart" after the star-studded show which was watched by up to 14.5 million viewers on TV and raised £2 for the victims of the Manchester attack.

Ariana Grande performed before a jubilant crowd of some 50,000 in Manchester on Sunday, less than 24 hours after a deadly terror attack in the heart of London. As of June 5, the total amount raised for the Manchester emergency fund was over $12 million, and the organizers said that this figure can still go up later.

Katy Perry was one of a number of world-famous artists to take to the stage, but it seems many people watching the event missed the significance of her specially-designed outfit for the evening.

Grande hosted the "One Love Manchester" benefit concert, and she also served as the performer during the show's finale.
