Take a Vacation? Not Me, Says Action Star Tom Cruise

Starring Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella, the movie has been panned by film reviewers who have described it as a "monster fail" and "an unholy mess". I've seen far worse but it wasn't great, either, and I don't think it is going to be the blockbuster Universal was hoping for to kick start their newest series in an effort to combat the Marvel Universe. The mummy, she transitions from a creepy, violent monster to a seductive goddess easily, but her impact is reduced by the screen time devoted to convincing us of Cruise and Wallis' love angle, even though that's devoid of any chemistry.

Just about every major studio in Hollywood right now is trying to form their own shared universe of films.

Real Madrid retains UEFA Champions title
It is also the first time Real have won both LaLiga and the Champions League in the same season for 59 years. Of course, it wasn't just the Champions League Real Madrid got their hands on this season.

Wallis continues, "The plane was coming out of weightlessness about to hit gravity and I heard the countdown '5, 4, 3 ...' At three I said, 'I'm stuck!' and Tom was like, 'Annabelle, don't worry I got you, ' and he ran and freed me and we returned to earth and he'd saved my life". You know a movie's not working, for instance, when the back story is more compelling than the main plot. One character in particular who will apparently be getting a real story told is the Bride of Frankenstein. The rest of the action, even a highly touted airplane-crash stunt that Cruise insisted on performing himself, is mediocre, and without a truly threatening villain, none of it feels particularly consequential. The fact that his character can be both good and evil also sets up a certain amount of intrigue for the Dark Universe - will Dr Jekyll convince the monsters he encounters to fight for good, or will his evil side prevail instead? The remainder of the film is more action and thrills than anything from the horror genre.

One of their escapades involving a hasty airstrike unearths a secret tomb, and British archaeologist Jenny Halsey (Annabelle Wallis) is on the scene to excavate the sarcophagus within. After the legends are established, of crusading English knights and vengeful Egyptian princesses unleashing evil curses, we drop in with Nick Morton (Cruise) and Chris Vail (Jake Johnson), a pair of special-ops types who like to spend their time in Iraq antiquity hunting rather than insurgent stalking.

UK Conservatives in Talks With DUP Over Coalition Arrangement
The most likely partner for the Conservatives is the Democratic Unionist Party of Northern Ireland. The party have actually wanted this to happen since the last election.

Which movie are you most looking forward to? It is determined to be the tomb of ancient Egyptian princess named Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella). Crowe, playing Dr. Jekyll (and Mr. Hyde), gets the worst of it, with lines like "He found his redemption". A fight between Nick and a transforming Jekyll/Hyde is the movie's most entertaining, playful scene, even though it has nearly no bearing on the story. The best part of the character arc comes at the end of the film and again sets up future movies. "Amunet and her husband represented 'hiddenness.'" The "hiddenness" aspect sounds relevant to the character, who is buried deep beneath the ground as a mummy before the movie begins.

Trump reacts to Comey testimony (on Twitter, of course)
Trump has been unusually silent on Twitter and declined to answer shouted questions from reporters Thursday about the testimony. He also said that any other explanations that have come from the White House were "lies, plain and simple", as Jessica reports.
