UK Conservatives in Talks With DUP Over Coalition Arrangement

The leader of Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) holds the balance of power in the Britain's new Parliament, with its 10 seats helping Mrs May's Tories achieve the parliamentary majority they failed to secure in Thursday's (June 8) general election.

A Downing Street spokesman said that the Prime Minister will visit Buckingham Palace at 12.30pm on Friday to speak to the sovereign.

In a sombre speech after retaining her seat, Mrs May said: "The country needs a period of stability and, whatever the results are, the Conservative party will fulfil our duty of ensuring that stability so we can all go forward together".

British Prime Minister Theresa May's gamble in calling an early election backfired spectacularly as her Conservative Party lost its majority in Parliament, throwing British politics into chaos.

"Yet another own goal, after Cameron now May, will make already complex negotiations even more complicated", tweeted Guy Verhofstadt, the former Belgian premier who is the European Parliament's point man for the Brexit process. "The cold hard fact is that if I lose just six seats I will lose this election, and Jeremy Corbyn will be sitting down to negotiate with the presidents, prime ministers and chancellors of Europe".

It not known yet what sort of deal will be formed between both parties as the choice ranges from a formal coalition or an arrangement, known as "confidence and supply", where the DUP will support the Conservatives' minority government on important matters in return for some of their policies being enacted.

Apple CEO to MIT grads: Tech without values is worthless
But Cook said there was plenty of useful information tech companies could share in the form of metadata. He said: "Whatever we do at Apple , we must infuse it with the humanity that we are born with".

That did not help May, who in her previous role as interior minister for six years had overseen cuts in the number of police officers.

Creationism doesn't form part of the DUP's manifesto, but it's certainly worth noting that a number of the party's senior players subscribe to this particular world view.

The most likely partner for the Conservatives is the Democratic Unionist Party of Northern Ireland.

The Jeremy Corbyn led Opposition Labour party performed better than most forecast, making considerable gains from the Tories to end up at 262 MPs.

"Now lets get to work", May said before leaving.

"Negotiations on our exit from the European Union are about to commence, and we now face uncertainty at Westminster".

Sean Spicer: Donald Trump's Tweets "Considered Official Statements By POTUS"
The host reminded her that Trump prefers to communicate through Twitter. Trump's tweets either matter or they don't. Trump repeated the sentiment twice Monday.

"In terms of Brexit, this is potentially very significant", he said.

Foster will be looking for some sort of "special status" for Northern Ireland and guarantees on preventing a hard border with the Republic of Ireland and any new customs operations. "The party that has lost in this election is the Conservative Party".

The party have actually wanted this to happen since the last election.

The Tories are expected to close the final tally at 318, with the 10 DUP MPs giving it the backing it would need to govern and get legislation passed.

The EU's chief negotiator said the bloc's stance on Brexit and the timetable for the talks were clear, but the divorce negotiations should only start when Britain is ready.
