Warm weather and isolated thunderstorms expected this week in New Orleans

For Sunday, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.

Wednesday will start off sunny in many spots, but some developing clouds will mix in with the bright skies at times late morning and afternoon.

Around 5:30 p.m., the National Weather Service reported severe thunderstorms near the Swan Falls Dam had created 60 miles per hour wind gusts and blowing dust, reducing visibility to near zero. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Wind: SE 5-10. Low: 62.

By Monday - the 3 of July - the front will have cleared the state and a northwesterly breeze will usher in a drier air mass and mostly sunny skies.
