Gal Gadot, who stole the show a year ago when she had her coming out party as Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman", crushes it in her first-of-many stand-alone films, and she has fantastic chemistry with her charming co-star Chris Pine (who plays Steve Trevor, the World War I pilot who introduces her to the 20th century).
But as DC and Warner Bros. look ahead to the future of the character, there's already a flurry of confusion surrounding the potential sequel. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster), who becomes the first female director to helm a summer tentpole superhero film.
Entertainment Weekly's "Ultimate Guide to Wonder Woman" is out now. Naturally, Jenkins has now signed on to continue her franchise by directing a sequel featuring Wonder Woman in the modern day.
Sen. Collins: Tone, context of Trump-Comey conversations "so important"

German SPD leader calls Trump a 'destroyer of all Western values'
Further offending Germany, he'll "stop" German auto sales because we import too many; Germans "are very, very bad". "I think the relationship that the president has had with Merkel he would describe as fairly unbelievable".
The solo debut of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman finally hit theaters and revealed that there is no post-credits scene. Speaking to Uproxx, (via io9), Jenkins said "It is for sure [set in the 100 years prior]". "I'm definitely planning something more interesting using that period of time".
So would a second Wonder Woman solo film take place after Justice League?
The choice of casting seems flawless with Gal Gadot, the actress who plays Wonder Woman, not just being the pretty face in the film but giving the character depth and emotion throughout the entirety of the movie as well. More information is expected to be released in the coming months - hopefully at San Diego Comic-Con - but for now, all of the studio's focus is on Wonder Woman itself.
