Kulbhushan Jadhav's mother may meet son, Pak reviewing her visa application

According to news agency ANI, Pakistani media is reporting that acting on New Delhi's request, Islamabad is contemplating on giving a visa to Jadhav's mother. "There has been no progress on that front".

"We also have a visa application pending for an Indian national Mrs. Avantika Jadhav who wants to meet her son in Pakistan against whom they have pronounced a death sentence". The foreign affairs minister had on Monday criticised Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz, who had "not even acknowledged her personal letter" requesting to grant Pakistani visa for Kulbhushan Jadhav's mother.

Pakistan is considering India's request for the grant of visa to the mother of Kulbhushan Yadav sentenced to death for alleged spying, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reportedly said. "However, Mr. Aziz has not shown the courtesy even to acknowledge my letter", Sushma Swaraj added.

However, she had assured Aziz that any Pakistani national seeking a medical visa to travel to India with his recommendation will be given the visa immediately.
