Kyrie Irving reportedly wants trade out of Cleveland

Derrick Rose, the youngest player to win the National Basketball Association (NBA) Most Valuable Player (MVP) award when he took the trophy in 2011, is in talks over a one-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, ESPN reported on Thursday. Rose should not be a starter on legitimate title contender and would not be a featured part of the offense, though Windhorst reports the Cavs want to play him with Kyrie Irving in the backcourt.

Derrick Rose signing with the Cavs would mean every NBA MVP victor from 2009-2016 would be on either Cleveland or Golden State.

Rose reportedly "just wants to play ball", according to ESPN's Chris Haynes, making this a race for the team that can define the best role for the former MVP moving forward.

"I understand we're in a very peculiar place", Irving said. With the Cavs only being able to offer a portion of the taxpayer mid-level exception or the veteran's minimum, the maximum amount the Cavs could pay Rose is $2.5 million over one year. The Cavs tried Williams and it didn't work but why not switch things up and hand the ball to Rose and let Irving run wild on the perimeter with James?

'Thank God You're Out': OJ Simpson's Former Lawyer on Parole Board Decision
I don't blame ESPN , which devoted its "Outside the Lines" program Thursday to Simpson's parole hearing, for wanting to do that. Social media took note of parole board member Adam Endel's choice in neckwear: a Kansas City Chiefs tie.

Behind the efforts of James, Irving and Kevin Love, the Cavs have been to three consecutive Finals, losing to the Warriors in June and also in 2015.

General manager David Griffin could not come to an agreement on a new contract with Gilbert and left the organization, days before the draft. He had also averaged a career-high 10.1 points per game in the paint, which was tied for the second highest mark among guards last season. Irving, on the other hand, averaged 25 points and six assists on 47 percent shooting.

New York Times a favorite Trump target - and interview venue
Comey this month, many things once thought beyond the realm of possibility look less so now", Katyal said. The Times' most heated competitor, The Washington Post , has gotten one interview, he said.

Irving has three years and $60 million remaining on his contract, but has the ability to opt out prior to the 2019-2020.

Rose made $21.3 million while playing in 64 games for the New York Knicks last season.

He also complained that German companies are being accused without evidence of helping terrorists. Gabriel said the case "shows that German citizens are no longer safe from arbitrary arrests".

"That's two years down the road, Joe, we're not going to discuss that", Wechsler said.
