Left-back Andy Roberson joins Liverpool from Hull

Liverpool have signed full back Andy Robertson from Hull City on a long-term contract, while midfielder Kevin Stewart has moved in the opposite direction, the Merseyside club said on Friday.

Signing a contract brings to an end a protracted transfer that has seen the Reds secure Robertson's signature in a deal worth up to £10 million, per Miguel Delaney of The Independent.

Though the idea of getting in a relegated left back from a club like Hull City on the cheap may leave some Liverpool fans skeptical, Robertson at least has the tools to develop into a dynamic player on the left flank for his new club.

"I know our environment will benefit him and help him push himself even more than he has already".
