BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe announces today that the release of Ni no Kuni II: REVENANT KINGDOM™ has been postponed until 19 January, 2018. As Polygon points out, previously Hino said in an official Bandai Namco interview that "there will be multiplayer, you will be able to play online with your friends in various capacities". As the original 2017 deadline approaches, President of LEVEL-5 Inc. According to the game's director, Akihiro Hino, the development team needs more time in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to its fans.
Additionally, Hino also clarifies that the game will not include any multiplayer content, clearing up a controversy created during last E3. Ni No Kuni II has been pushed back a few months from its November release date to January 19th, 2018.
