He says Pakistan has informed Afghan authorities and urged them to take similar measures on their side of the border. He said global border with Afghanistan will be fully secured to check infiltration of terrorists and to destroy their hideouts in our side of the border.

Pakistan military has launched a major anti-ISIL operation in its northwestern tribal belt near the Afghan border, according to an army spokesman on Sunday. "The militant organisation's influence is growing on other side of the border", he added.

He said that the operation would first secure the border near Rajgal Valley and forces would then clear the rest of the area.

He announced that Operation Khyber IV was launched by the army today in Shawal and Rajgal.

DG ISPR stated that 46 operations were carried out under Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad across Pakistan. "Around 500 families had been living in this area, which are now staying on safer places as Temporarily Displaced Persons", he added.

He said Pakistan forces had been exercising restraint but whenever reacted it was in retaliation to the unprovoked firing whereby directly engaging the Indian posts from where the fire was being originated. Alongside the border fencing, Pakistan and Afghanistan will maintain an open-door policy for cooperation and discussion on bilateral issues, particularly in order to remove what he said was "a trust deficit" on the Afghan side.
