Actor Dileep denied bail, Kerala court extends custody
Dileep is accused of hiring goons on "quotation" basis to assault the actress over alleged personal rivalry. The court considered the contentions of the police and extended the police custody of Dileep by a day.
After the meeting, Rai said the appointments of Dravid and Zaheer were only "recommendations" although the BCCI release on July 11 suggests otherwise. A recommendation has been made and the CoA has to act on the recommendation.
"There have been suggestions that the CAC has exceeded its ambit in going with Mr Khan and Mr Dravid, and that these two legends of Indian cricket have been foisted on the head coach". And we have decided that for further coaches and others, we must have a discussion with Mr. Ravi Shastri. But we have to consult each one of them, we have to ascertain their willingness and have to ensure that there is no conflict of interest issue.
It may be recalled that the CAC, that chose Dravid and Zaheer, had expressed "pain" at the impression being created that the duo was thrust upon Shastri.
