35, faces 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced August 23 for the killing of Aramazd "Piqui" Andressian Jr.

During the court hearing today, Aramazd Andressian Sr. was surrounded by both Ana Estevez and visibly weeping family members, the Daily Mail reports.

Andressian Sr. faces 25 years to life in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 23.

According to documents obtained by this news group, Andressian Sr. likely had few other options than to admit his guilt.

Dozens of volunteers searched for Andressian Jr. around LA county and Santa Barbara.

Republican Senator Jeff Flake Accuses GOP of 'Unnerving Silence' Under President Trump
In the halls of the Senate on Tuesday, however, it didn't seem as if Flake's message was being heeded. "That would be a mistake. Flake made a point to reference civility in his book. "If this was our Faustian bargain, then it was not worth it".

Estevez reported her son missing on April 22 when her estranged husband failed to show up with the boy for a child custody exchange.

35, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree murder in the death of Aramazd Andressian Jr. during a hearing at the Los Angeles Superior Court in Alhambra.

Andressian was brought back from Las Vegas to Los Angeles on June 30, the day his son's body was discovered. The report also states that he'd informed sheriff's investigators where the body was located. It's unclear what relation Omar has to Andressian Jr.

The specifics included in the DCFS reports match up with the incidents surrounding the disappearance of the boy and the discovery of his body.

Before the discovery of the body, the L.A. County district attorney's office had filed murder charges against Andressian Sr., who had gone off to Vegas by then.

I've always said this, whether it was at my town hall meetings or anyplace else if you give it, you're gonna get it back", Christie said.

Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators have said they think the boy was killed early April 21 after a family trip to Disneyland. There was no sign of his son. Inside the auto were matches and a gas can.

A search for the boy began immediately after but dragged on for more than two months. "Aramazd Andressian was being a flight risk", Sheriff Jim McDonnell said after his arrest. The father told officers someone must have taken the child while he was passed out. Authorities said he had been living in a Las Vegas hotel for 47 days after his son went missing, had lightened his hair and shaved his beard and was "socializing". Andressian Sr. was found unconscious the next day in Arroyo Seco Park, unable to account for his son's whereabouts.

Andressian told authorities that he drove that day about 145 miles (233 kilometers) to Lake Cachuma.

He told the deputies after that the boy fell asleep in the back seat. He remembered nothing after that. The boy was nowhere to be found. The caller told DCFS it was unclear if the boy got out of the auto himself, if someone had kidnapped him or if the father was withholding information. Andressian Sr. said he'd hired a private investigator to track down the vehicle owned by Omar's father. Authorities have still not released a cause of death.

That revelation was detailed in a LA County Department of Children Services report.
