Michael Keane: Wayne Rooney will roar for England again

The Toffees went ahead after 35 minutes when Wayne Rooney scored his 200th Premier League goal.

Kyle Walker received a red card following what was deemed a second bookable offence by referee Bobby Madley late in the first half which was dominated by Everton throughout.

"When you play at City it is always tough, how they play, how they try to play but I think the gameplan was ideal, we had a good defensive organisation... it was really tough, we had good man-marking".

He might be playing for Everton now but Wayne Rooney continues to be the scourge of Manchester City.

Mercer County still has the lowest rate of unemployment in the state
The official national unemployment rate in July was 4.3 percent, down from 4.4 percent in June (5.1 percent in July 2016). Miami County had the 27th highest at 3.7 percent; Tipton County was ranked at number 79 with a 2.9 percent rate.

Shearer certainly enjoyed it, the former England forward tweeting: "Congratulations Wayne on reaching 200 Premier League goals, a great achievement..."

Statistics showed Rooney ran 11km, further than any of his team-mates.

"It is not bad for someone who is not fit anymore and can't get about the pitch! Everton are a Europa League team (with) top quality players", he added.

However, Pep Guardiola's fought back to avoid only their second home defeat under the Spaniard.

"We are looking for a left-footed central defender, maybe as back-up for Leighton Baines".

Everton manager Ronald Koeman said despite the disappointment of conceding a late equaliser he was pleased with a point from a hard trip.

'Obviously (it's) two goals in two games now and hopefully it will be a lot more. They scored a goal.

Manchester City started the game with a lot of pressure as they created many even though they didn't succeed to convert any.

January's dismal display at Goodison Park is still fresh in my own mind, an afternoon when Ronald Koeman completely called Guardiola's bluff and the game was over by half-time.
