Nepal PM to visit India on August 23

A statement by India's foreign ministry announcing the visit said, "India-Nepal partnership has witnessed significant growth in all areas of cooperation".

On Thursday, Deuba and Modi will hold delegation-level talks at Hyderabad House in Delhi, followed by the signing of some agreements. "The government took the decision to conduct the elections after holding consultations with the Election Commission (EC)", Minister for Information Mohan Bahadur Basnet told reporters.

China wants Nepal to have a neutral stance on Doklam matter. He will also have meeting with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and other ministers. During the visit, some senior members of the Indian Cabinet will call on Prime Minister Deuba.

Nepal's government said on Monday that it will conduct general elections on November 26, as officials seek to consolidate democratic gains in the politically unstable country. Beijing has been indulging in propaganda which tries to accuse India of undermining Nepal's sovereignty.
