New Game From THQ Nordic Promises Major Gothic Horror Vibes

It's important to note that this new installment in the series is in fact a modern-reimagining of the gothic-horror adventure series, and not Black Mirror 4.

Black Mirror is a point-and-click adventure and will be an official reboot of the wonderful Gothic-horror series that debuted in the early 2000s.

But don't worry, even players unfamiliar with the previous games in the series can also enjoy Black Mirror, because this reboot of the franchise tells a totally independent and new story. Playing as David Gordon, players will get to focus on the investigation of the nightmarish visions that plague his mind.

For those that don't know, the original Black Mirror trilogy began in 2004 as The Black Mirror, which produced two more spin-offs, Black Mirror II (2009) and Black Mirror III (2011). One major difference this time around will be that characters can interact with vision-like apparitions.

As far as I can recall, I wasn't taken by Future Games' Black Mirror when it arrived on European shores the following year. All is as it should be until the dark secrets that haunt the house threaten David Gordon's sanity and life, just like they have with his ancestors. He promises free and direct exploration, but also some old point-and-click style as well. Blood is not always thicker than water.

Black Mirror is set to release much sooner than expected - the slated release date is November 28 of this year.

For those lucky enough to be attending Gamescom 2017 in Germany, THQ Nordic will have Black Mirror available to demo on the show floor.
