A pool of mosquitoes collected in Warren tested positive for West Nile Virus, the Rhode Island Department of Health confirmed Thursday.

Oxford County Public Health is confirming the virus was found in a mosquito pool in Tillsonburg.

Ohio's first case of the West Nile Virus among humans was reported this week in Clermont County.

Sessions also told NBC News , "We'll work with the state and locals and then decide, in a collaborative way, to see what the best charges will be".

"We're encouraging residents to protect themselves by utilizing EPA-approved insect repellant, wearing long sleeves, being cautious at dawn and dusk as well as emptying containers that might hold water around the home or on the property to prevent habitat for breeding of mosquitoes", he said.

If you are outdoors between dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active, be sure to wear long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, shoes, and socks.

"Now is the time to take precautions to prevent mosquito bites", Andreadis said.
