Woman killed in Parafield high-speed crash, three teenagers arrested


The driver of the small auto, 40-year-old AnglicareSA care worker Lucy Paveley, from Mawson Lakes, was killed on impact while driving to work.

Rather than checking on the 40-year-old mother-of-two, they allegedly abandoned the white Mitsubishi Pajero and fled in a black Mazda 3 sedan, leaving her to die.

Police said the Pajero had been stolen from Grange in the early hours of Sunday morning and used in a break-in at Brahma Lodge, where its believed the black Mazda was stolen from.

At the time of the crash, police had been monitoring both vehicles but had called off a police chase shortly before 6.30am over safety concerns due to the vehicles' unsafe driving.

"At the speed at which that vehicle was going, unfortunately she would have had no chance".

The suspects fled the crash site in a stolen vehicle, an action investigating officers slammed as "totally unbelievable" and "an absolute disgrace".

They are helping police with their inquiries.

Three teenagers have been arrested following their release from the Adelaide Youth Court today, according to SA Police.
