Adam Gase on players who betray team culture: Forgiveness is possible

The Miami Dolphins have suspended linebacker Lawrence Timmons indefinitely following the veteran going AWOL before Week 2's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. His streak of 101 consecutive starts was snapped. When asked by reporters about Timmons's future with the team, Gase, said he had "nothing to add".

"That's going to be something I'm going to keep in house; I'll decide on that later", said Gase.

The possibility of Timmons returning to the team was raised in another question and Gase gave a similar answer, but a general question about whether players who step outside the team's culture could be welcomed back at a later date seemed to leave the door open.

But the coach said his only rules for players are to be on time and play hard.

Earlier on May 15, an intruder from Pakistan was shot dead by the Border Security Force (BSF) in Bariyala in Gurdaspur Sector. The fire was appropriately retaliated and infiltrators were neutralized near Border Security Fence.

Gase said that Timmons will not practice with the team this week and will not play Sunday against the Jets.

Miami desperately needed to fix the hole left in their linebacker group that saw the team start undrafted rookie Chase Allen and Mike Hull.

Neither Timmons nor the Dolphins are providing any specifics.

Timmons has not publicly commented on the situation, although according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, he sought to rejoin the team Monday.

The good news ... cops found Timmons at LAX early Sunday morning in a boarding area in an effort to get to Pennsylvania.

Timmons, entering his 11th National Football League season, was dealing with his personal matter Saturday and returned to the team early Sunday morning before the Dolphins decided to make him inactive against the Chargers in Carson, Calif.

Timmons signed a $12 million, two-year deal with Miami in March after 10 seasons with Pittsburgh, where he won a Super Bowl ring in 2009 and made the Pro Bowl in 2014.
