Infiltration bid foiled in Machil, 2 militants killed: Army

Two infiltrators were killed as Army foiled an infiltration bid in Macchil sector of north Kashmir's Kupwara district early on Saturday.

An army statement said the militants were killed in an infiltration bid and two weapons were recovered from them. The interception led to an encounter that resulted into death of two unidentified terrorists, believed to be Pakistani nationals. Reports suggest the firing began at midnight and continued till 6.45 am.
