NASCAR Short Track Legend Ted Christopher Dies In Plane Crash

Modified championship racer Ted Christopher was one of two people killed when a small plane crashed in the woods in CT on Saturday, officials said.

Mr. Christopher and the pilot of the plane were both casualties in the crash that occurred shortly before 2 p.m.in woods of North Brandford, Conn., according to the Hartford Courant. He was one of two people on board a plane that went down in Guilford, Connecticut, Saturday afternoon.

Police are still investigating the incident. "He will be missed throughout the racing community". Notably five time NASCAR Driver of the Year Jimmie Johnson tweeted his praise for Christopher while giving his condolences to the late driver's family.
