Tottenham frustrated by Swansea at Wembley

Former Swansea City forward Fernando Llorente was on the verge of signing for the Stamford Bridge side in the latest transfer window but changed his mind on Deadline Day after Tottenham Hotspur's boss Mauricio Pochettino gave him a call.

But another two points dropped on Saturday evening means the doubts will creep back in.

Spurs are still waiting for a first league win at Wembley after failing to break down Swansea, though Harry Kane did rattle the crossbar. The reality is that we have dropped a lot of points (at home) after three games but I am not anxious. It's true last season was fantastic at White Hart Lane.

"For different reasons we needed to rotate because we have a lot of games ahead".

Llorente is likely to play second fiddle to Harry Kane at Spurs but should prove to be a valuable and experienced back-up for the Englishman, who has been burdened with huge goalscoring responsibilities over the last three seasons in north London.

He said: "There are plenty of goals in the team". "As soon as I signed for the club, I knew how big it was, I knew what it meant". The seller club is the club that decides the amount the buying club pays or doesn't pay.

Tottenham certainly had enough possession to win the game, plus 26 attempts at goal. The Welsh side rode their luck at times but few could argue against that.

He now has four goals this week alone and Pochettino believes he is such an example to his squad, he is now replaying video clips of him to them.

'It's not my business, ' said Pochettino. What is not clear is why Mike Dean justify in front of our players that it was handball but it was not handball.

'But I think it's too early to analyse. Aurier goes down inside the penalty area after appearing to be tripped by Ayew, and Mike Dean has a BIG decision to make.

Swansea again look like they will be in a relegation battle this season. Crystal Palace - and one still smarting from last Sunday's 1-0 home defeat by newly-promoted Newcastle United.

"Good defending has to be applauded", Swansea manager Paul Clement said. "We are showing that on our day we are hard to beat".

Clement replaced new midfielder Renato Sanches, on-loan from Bayern Munich, with Leroy Fer after 58 minutes in a game where Swansea took a cautious approach.

Also worth a punt today is both teams to score in the Clarets' visit to Anfield to take on Liverpool - get that at 21-20.
