Amazon debuts waterproof Kindle for better reading in the bath

Earlier last month the company has launched a whole new range of Amazon Echo gadgets. The devices are available to pre-order on Amazon India, and will go on sale on November 15th. The newest model of the Kindle Oasis has a 7-inch display with a screen resolution of 300 ppi or pixels per inch. It's worth pointing out that Amazon is also selling a 32GB model with free cellular connectivity for $350.

Amazon devices boss Dave Limp said: "Ten years ago, we introduced our first Kindle with the mission of delivering any book ever written in 60 seconds or less". The Oasis is also now water resistant to IP8X standards, which means it will survive dunks in depths of up to 2m in water for up to 60 minutes, and has integrated Bluetooth connectivity for hooking up wireless headphones or speakers.

Amazon refreshed its Kindle lineup with a new Oasis e-ink reader, larger and slightly more advanced than the original model.
