A source in the park said that there was no CCTV camera at the spot where Anji was mauled to death by two white tigers on Saturday evening.

The animal keeper, 40, was attempting to direct the tigers into their enclosure at the Bannerghatta Biological Park in southern India on Saturday night, the BBC reports.

Though he tried to escape, the cubs of white tigress Sowbhagya, chased and allegedly mauled him to death, they said.

Another cub then joined in the attack.
