After his team's loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told the press that he believes all National Football League players should stand for the anthem. "But if there is anything that is disrespectful to the flag then we will not play", Jones said after the Cowboys' 35-31 loss.

"He's the owner. Either you listen or you don't", Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis said Monday.

"We can not in anyway give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag", he said, according to the Dallas Morning News' Brandon George. "It's all up to each individual".

According to ESPN, the topic was raised after Vice President Mike Pence left the Indianapolis Colts-San Francisco 49ers game early on Sunday after players knelt during the national anthem.
