Facebook down for some users worldwide

Many Facebook users across the world experienced problems accessing the social network Wednesday.

Mashable said that Facebook has not yet commented on the outage. Some users have been able to access their accounts, with others suggesting only certain parts of the websites were functioning.

Facebook is down for hundreds of users across the United States.

"We're aware that some people are now having trouble accessing Facebook and Instagram".

It's not just you: Facebook is down. "We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible", a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement.

According to DownDetector, problems were reported in the US, UK and countries across Europe, including Italy, France, Germany and The Netherlands.

Furthermore, not all games may work properly, especially since it was not officially released by Nintendo. Though we wouldn't object to a Game Boy Classic Mini at all, there are some limitations to it.

#FacebookDown began trending on Twitter worldwide around 6pm SAST, as Twitter remained functional.

The website reported a spike in outage reports for the social network between 11 a.m. and noon.

It wasn't immediately clear caused the issue.
