With support for peer-to-peer payments in Messenger, users can send or request money using their PayPal account without leaving the Messenger app. The app is always being enhanced with new bug fixes and innovative features which make the user experience so much more enjoyable. This announcement came today after the two companies teamed up to integrate PayPal payment services with the Messenger's platform. That allowed merchants to utilize Facebook chatbots to accept payments, among other features. So, if you prefer to use the existing option do not worry, PayPal friend payments will be entirely optional. And if you like PayPal more than Messenger's online payments, you will be happy to know that Facebook will allow users to set PayPal payments as a default payment options.
Technically speaking, Facebook Messenger has supported the ability to send and receive money for quite awhile.
