Firefighters: Burned woman said 'Eric' set her on fire

Firefighters who reported to where Chamber's auto was found burning had said that she told them "Eric" was responsible.

The capital murder trial of 28-year-old Quinton Verdell Tellis continues on Wednesday.

Quinton Tellis, 29, is blamed for murdering Chambers, a previous secondary school team promoter from Courtland, Miss., who was found along a byway nearly a tree cultivate about three years back.

Those who spoke to her at the scene of the crime in Courtland testified she said "Eric set me on fire", and prosecutors worked to combat these reports, asking the first responders about Chambers' health status, what the area around and inside her mouth looked like, how well she was able to speak, and about the volume of her voice and the volume of the two diesel fire trucks surrounding them.

The defense maintains that Tellis has been falsely accused, and that Chambers' dying statement to firefighters shows the killer was someone else.

Tellis, 29, faces life in prison without parole if convicted. "And thought he had killed her and that he had to get her away from his house". District Attorney John Champion has said Chambers and Tellis knew each other.

Louise Redknapp says she lost herself in marriage
Sometimes I felt like crying because deep down inside me this voice was screaming, "This is what I have been missing!". It comes after Louise opened up about her marriage to Jamie - whom she shares sons Charlie, 13, and beau, nine, with.

"When we start showing you the number of lies that he told and how he had to when he's confronted with the physical evidence and the cell phone data, there was no way out for him", Champion said of Tellis, according to station WATN.

He said Tellis repeatedly lied to investigators about spending time with her in the hours before she was found.

Citing statements Mr Tellis made to investigators, Mr Champion said Mr Tellis and Ms Chambers had sex in her auto later that evening.

"At a certain point I even set down close to her", said Cole, battling back tears.

"I asked who did this to you. Her body was severely burned". She had been doused with a flammable liquid and set on fire near a tree farm and died 4 hours later at a Memphis hospital.

Palmer told jurors that Tellis never confessed to the killing.

Man gets ticket for wearing shark suit in Austria
Someone in a shark costume was arrested in Vienna, Austria , for allegedly violating the country's new law banning face coverings. But the shark costume case and officers reportedly stopping a girl cycling in a scarf show that some police remain bewildered.

Palmer also said eight first responders who treated Chambers asked her if she knew who did it.

"She was perched on a cover". The prosecutor also said Tellis' alibi was fabricated.

Tellis was serving time in Ouachita Parish Jail in Monroe, Louisiana, at the time of his indictment in Chamber's murder last year, where he was being held on charges connected to the brutal stabbing death of 34-year-old Meing-Chen "Mandy" Hsiao.

"I laid her down on the ground and she reached out for my hand", Haley said.

The capital murder trial has begun for the MS man accused of burning a teenager to death.

No trial date has been set in the Louisiana case.
