Hurricane Ophelia Moving At Snail's Pace To Northeast

Tropical storm Ophelia strengthened into a hurricane in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean Wednesday to become the 10th hurricane of the season, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

At this time in the hurricane season, conditions usually begin to become unfavorable for storms to develop, but some meteorologists are saying this year is different because of warm temperatures.

Hurricane Ophelia will bring gales and heavy rain to Scotland. However, the west coast could see gusts of up to 70mph when Ophelia hits.
