Jane Fonda: I knew about Harvey Weinstein and kept quiet

"It's a very, very, very, hard thing to do".

Speaking with Christiane Amanpour in an in-depth interview that's going out on CNN on Friday (October 13th), the 79 year old acting legend confessed that she knew about details of Weinstein's behaviour around a year ago - and is "ashamed" that she didn't come forward earlier.

"I'm hoping that with this coming out about Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, and then (the man) who's now our president, that men will not feel they can get away with it", she said. She said she suspected it was because "I was old, and Harvey goes for young because that's more vulnerable".

"I'm ashamed that I didn't say anything right then", the Oscar victor said.
