Las Vegas Residents Line Up To Donate Blood Following Concert Massacre

The Community Blood Center manager, Cindy Kerns, said regular donors allow the center to supply blood after emergencies.

We Are Blood of Austin confirmed Monday that although it has seen an outpouring of support from local blood donors, blood banks in Las Vegas following a mass shooting Sunday night are not in immediate need of additional donations.

LifeStream blood donors are being asked to help replenish the blood that has been sent to Las Vegas to ensure that we can assist with more blood as needed, and continue to serve patients in our local hospitals.

This week also happens to be the start of the Bengals blood drive.

According to the Las Vegas Police Department's twitter page, there is numerous blood donation centers, two of which belong to the American Red Cross and United Blood Services.

"I can't bend my mind around it", said Christine Espinoza.

Winn says at this time, there is enough blood on the shelf to meet the needs and save lives.

Individuals who are as young as 16 years of age (with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in general good health may be eligible to donate blood.
