After you hit the 5GB cap (or less for some legacy plans), you will continue to get unlimited data; it'll just be very, very slow data. T-Mobile ONE Plus plan holders will see their data speeds slowed to 256Kbps, while T-Mobile ONE subs will have their speeds slowed all the way down to just 128Kbps.

In case you are in a plan with data stash, which allows you to accumulate data, the data will not be usable in Canada or Mexico anymore.

Note that you can get unlimited LTE in Mexico and Canada by adding One Plus International to your account, but at $25 a month, that option isn't exactly cheap.
