PM gives a fillip to rural goods


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Wednesday attend the inauguration of the birth centenary celebrations of Sangh Parivar veteran Nanaji Deshmukh on his birth anniversary. Everyone should resolve to work for the villages.

Explaining the impact of good governance, he said poorer states have fewer jobs under the government's flagship rural employment scheme- MNREGA- as compared to states which are better off.

Taking his address further, he said that the essence of democracy is Jan Bhagidari and integrating people in the development journey of the cities and villages.

"It is not enough to say we want to ensure development".
